Signing up and signing in

How organisations and learners get an account, switching between views, and what to do when you can’t get in.

Contents 5 sections

How does an organisation get an account?

Patario is invite only at the moment. There is no self-serve sign-up — you can’t create a workspace from the website.

To get an invite, get in touch or email [email protected] and tell us roughly how many people you need to train and what on. We’ll set up a workspace and send an invite to the person who is going to run it.

Opening that invite takes you to a page where you set a password. From that point you are the administrator of your organisation’s workspace: you can add people, assign courses, and see who has completed what.

How do learners get an account?

You don’t sign yourself up. Whoever manages training where you work adds you, and Patario sends you an invitation.

The email comes from [email protected]. Open the link, set a password, and you’re in — there’s nothing to download and no app store involved.

Your email address is the one your employer used to enrol you. You can change your display name yourself in Account settings, but the email address has to be changed by whoever manages your training.

Patario is for people aged 18 and over. That applies to everyone using the platform, learners and administrators alike.

How do I sign in?

Go to app.patario.com and sign in with your email address and password.

Patario runs in the browser. It’s built for a phone first, but works just as well on a tablet or laptop, and your progress follows you between them — start a module on your phone at lunch, finish it on a laptop that afternoon.

You stay signed in between visits on the same device. To sign out, open the account menu from your initials in the top right and choose Sign out.

Can I be both an admin and a learner?

Plenty of people are both. If you run training for your organisation and also have training of your own to do, that is one account, not two — you sign in once with the same email address and password.

What changes is the view you are in. Open the account menu from your initials in the top right and use Switch view:

  • Admin — add and remove people, assign courses, set deadlines, and see how your organisation is doing.
  • Learner — your own courses, your own progress, and your own certificates.

Switching is instant and you can go back and forth as often as you like. Nothing you do in one view affects the other.

What if I can’t sign in?

Almost everything here comes down to one of five things.

Why hasn’t my invitation arrived?

  • Check your spam or junk folder for a message from [email protected].
  • Confirm with whoever set up your training that they used your work address rather than a personal one. A typo in the address is the most common cause.
  • Ask them to send it again. They can do that from the same screen they invited you from.
  • If it still doesn’t arrive, email [email protected] — it may be your organisation’s mail filter rather than us.

Why doesn’t the invitation link work?

If you’ve already used it once, the link has done its job. Go to app.patario.com and sign in normally instead.

How do I reset my password?

Use the forgotten password link on the sign-in screen. We’ll email you a reset link. If that email doesn’t arrive either, check your spam folder first — it comes from the same address as the invitation.

Why isn’t my email address recognised?

You are probably signing in with a different address from the one you were enrolled with. Ask whoever manages your training which address they used. We can’t tell you, because we can only look someone up if you already know the address.

What happens if I leave the organisation?

When your employer removes you, your access ends. If you want to keep a copy of a certificate, download it before that happens — the certificate itself stays valid as evidence that you completed the training on that date.
